Bulgarian authorities vowed Monday to work together in finding out which properties have been acquired through criminal activities.

Chief Prosecutor Boris Velchev signed the instruction for interaction together with the Ministry of Interior, Finance Ministry, the National Investigations Office and the Commission for ascertaining property, acquired through criminal activities.

"This document will facilitate interaction between institutions in the fight against organized crime, especially in the financial area," Velchev said after signing.

The document asserts a deadline for prosecutors to inform about every legal procedure, connected with financial crimes, the chief prosecutor added.

Stoyan Kushlev, director of the Commission for ascertaining property, acquired through criminal activities said that from the beginning of 2006 the commission has launched 95 legal procedures. The first trial in connection with illegally acquired property will start October 6.
